This term refers to glycogen depletion in the muscles during exercise. It’s caused by not eating adequately, before or during physical activity and leaves you feeling virtually unable to push on the pedals.
Bonking is to be avoided at all costs! Apart from ruining your day, you’ll struggle to have a quality training ride for days after. It’s a terrible feeling — and I don’t want you to go through it like I have so many times.
